Design Technology
With this in mind, Our Design and Technology curriculum has been created so that it is progressive, sequenced and contextualised wherever possible in the broader curriculum and real life contexts. The core knowledge and small steps, which are defined in the units of work our teachers deliver every other half term, are based on carefully selected resources from the DT Association as well as taking account of needs identified with local secondary schools to ensure our pupils are prepared for life beyond Chepping View. Pupils will develop the key concepts of designing, making and evaluating, in addition to their technical knowledge and understanding, and applied knowledge of cooking and nutrition. By ensuring all of this is at the heart of our DT curriculum offer, we endeavour to inspire our pupils as they take their learning journey with us as a creator, designer, engineer and developer and so much more!
