Lunches and Milk

Hot Lunches

At Chepping View, we provide free hot school meals as part of the government's Universal Free School Meals programme.

This allows every Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 child to have a free hot lunch each day. Our hot lunch provider is Innovate and their caterers are based at Abbey View Primary Academy.

KS2 children can also order hot lunches from Innovate- this is not funded by the government and payment will be required unless your child is in receipt of Free School Meals.

In order to register your child for their hot meals, please go to the Innovate website:

 Innovate website

Once you are registered, you will have the option to order your choices for several weeks at a time. The deadline to order for each week is the Saturday before at 10pm.

If you do not have access to the internet, please contact the school office and we can register your child on the school account.

Innovate's policy for pupils with food allergies can be found below:

This applies to children of families in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 who already receive a free meal under the Government's Universal Free School Lunch Scheme and to all children in Key Stage 2.

If you think that you may be eligible, please complete the application form and return it to the Academy Office.

Milk

To order milk for your KS1/Rec child, please set up an account with Cool Milk. Milk is free for under 5s. To order milk as part of your KS2 child who is eligible for free school meals, contact the school office to arrange.

Packed Lunches

For those children who are at KS2 and those at KS1/Rec who opt out of hot meals, a packed lunch can be brought in.

Packed lunches should be healthy and filling and we have the following rules about items that should not be included:

  • No sweets or chocolate bars
  • No fizzy drinks or energy drinks
  • No nuts, nut products or nut spreads (including chocolate spreads with hazelnuts)
