Outdoor Learning
Chepping View is lucky enough to have a large amount of green space on the school site. This includes the school field, the meadow, picnic areas, two adventure play trails and gardening areas.
With all these wonderful green areas to work with, we have developed our curriculum to include as much outdoor learning as possible. The outdoor classroom enables us to keep learning outside whatever the weather too!
When visiting the school, you might see children on a minibeast hunt, or searching for the giant from "Jack and the Beanstalk", or other exciting outdoor activities.
Chepping View children love the school meadow and they always list it as one of their key memories of being a pupil here.
Forest School
Chepping View Children in Foundation Stage, Y1, Y2 and Y3 have the opportunity to take part in Forest School with our qualified leader, Ms Webb.
Forest School involves outdoor learning, developing independence, problem solving, speaking and listening and many more aspects of development that are invaluable to great progress at school. The children often mention Forest School as being a highlight of their school experience, as do their parents.
Forest School is such an amazing & important activity for my child.
Forest school is great for getting children involved with nature and the outdoors.
